Datatech is a South African fibre and technology company specializing in rural connectivity, fibre infrastructure, wireless networking, security systems, automation, and tailored technology solutions for farms, businesses, estates, and developing communities.
Founded through years of hands-on industry experience, Datatech was built on the belief that reliable communication infrastructure is essential for growth, security, education, and modern business operations — especially within rural and agricultural areas that are often underserved.
With a strong technical foundation and a practical understanding of rural environments, Datatech focuses on delivering dependable, scalable, and professionally engineered technology solutions designed for long-term reliability.
Our History
Arjun van der Willik entered the wireless networking industry in 2011, where he began engineering and building wireless network infrastructure in the Vaal region.
After years of industry experience, he expanded operations to Cape Town in 2018, bringing with him extensive knowledge in wireless networking, infrastructure development, network engineering, and communications systems.
In 2019, Arjun and his wife, Yolandi van der Willik, officially established their fibre and IT venture in Cape Town, combining technical expertise with operational management and client-focused service delivery.
Yolandi's Agricultural & Operational Background
Prior to joining the technology and fibre industry full-time, Yolandi worked within the irrigation industry from 2012 to 2019. During this period, she gained valuable experience in agricultural environments, client management, and operational coordination. Her qualifications include:
